In comparison to standard mineral oils, higly refined hydrotreated heavy paraffinics are employed improving the thermal stability of the heat transfer fluid.;Any vapours that are given off by a heat transfer fluid inside a vented expansion tank will react with air to produce acids that can cause sludge formation and fluid gelling. The higher the vapour pressure, the more vapour is produced and the more oxidation residues will build up. Klüberfood NHT1 1-39 has a negligible vapour pressure that produces almost no reaction with air in vented expansion tanks.
